NOCTURNUS
MyF Limited Gallery, Berlin, 2024.
Technique: Series of 4 photographs printed on Hahnemule Paper, Intervention with caulking thread.
Going into the forest to look for everything and find it despite the darkness of its lushness, knowing that this action requires honestly putting the body to the maximum and as a consequence wearing it out, then it will be repaired...
The need is urgent, the stitch is hasty, pointing out the punk that lives at the beginning of the movement, therefore its use and wear are noticeable, it is a mission to mend and repair.
Give it a new “life” by containing all the possible layers of collecting and dressing.
It is because of our addiction to desires that we entrust ourselves; Saint Sebastian lives in the forest and protects us by transforming arrows into flowers, adding pleasure to pain.
A Narcissus reveals our reality to us and fascinates us, it moves us to the point of finding a way to enter and exit the scene as many times as necessary.
Curated by Simon Mullan.
